As it was requested the other day, I’ve now had a chance to go through and comment on what I found. This is a two-disk set, with a mix of instruction on how to make card gimmicks and how to use what you make. If you are COMPLETELY new to card making and/or using gimmicks, this would be a good starting point, but the effects are a little lacklustre and some of the information given on the making parts is just wrong. That’s not to say you wouldn’t be able to create these gimmicks using only this DVD set, but there are better methods than some of the ones given. It also totally ignores gaffs made with elastic thread, which means the scope is somewhat limited. Penguin are selling it for $35.00 at the moment, and to be honest, I feel that’s a little on the high side for what you get, but there are FAR worse deals out there so if you are completely new to the subject it may still be a worthwhile purchase.
